Troubleshooting Outlook Express Not Responding Error

Microsoft Outlook Express is an email manager program that was developed by the popular operating system manufacturer Microsoft. The company developed the program as a stripped down or cut-off version of their Outlook email manager program. One of the main issues that the program shows are those related to the Outlook Express program not responding to user commands. This is the most widely found error with the email client. One of the major reasons for the issue is a network connection that does not work well.

Often, improper account settings also lead to Outlook Express problems. One of the first things that you need to do when you find an unresponsive Outlook Express program is to check whether your computer is connected to the internet or not. Lack of internet connection will make the program to not respond to user commands. The users will not be able to see any new emails in the inbox folder, nor would they be able to send any emails from the program. So check the internet connection, this can be done by launching your web browser and trying to access some webpage. If you were able to access the web page, the issue is not related to internet connection.

Since the issue can also be caused due to issues with the operating system, it is advised that you regularly update your Windows operating system. Installing new updates in the system will make sure that your system is free of any virus or malicious user’s attacks. One of the other simple methods that you could follow is to make sure that the system does have an anti virus system installed in it. This would make sure that the viruses and malware do not gain access to your system.

Since corruption is one of the major reasons behind Outlook Express problems, and most corruptions are caused due to virus attacks, installing an antivirus program in the system will make sure that the program stays safe and works fine. Updating the program at regular intervals too helps in making the program more safe and efficient. Microsoft regularly releases security patches for its email manager program in an effort to fix the issues with the program. Installing these updates will help the users keep their Outlook email client safe and secure.

Running the Outlook repair program will also help in fixing the issues with the Outlook Express email manager program.

We Might Finally Get Start Menu Back!

Windows users can finally find some reason to celebrate since, if rumours are true, Windows 8.1 operating system will soon receive an update that brings back the Start menu that was not available in Windows 8.x operating system all this while.

The Windows 8 operating system received huge flak from users when they discovered the classic Start menu, which was present in all previous versions of Windows is now replaced by a Metro style Start screen which has tiles in place of menus. To add to this, the user interface is rigged in favor of touch screen users alone, completely leaving out the traditional keyboard-and-mouse users.

Looks like Microsoft has finally agreed to relent to the massive appeal to bring back the classic Start menu from those users, who had grown used to this. The company tells The Verge that the Start Menu will most likely be available in the next update of Windows 8.1 operating system that is scheduled to release. Microsoft’s Terry Myerson, head of Windows and Xbox software, held a mini demonstration of the Start menu to show users how the brand new Start menu would look like. Contact us by calling our Windows support number to know more about the new Start menu.

The prototype confirms the rumors of a hybrid Start menu that combines the best of both the classic Start menu and the new Metro style Start screen in bringing out a Start menu that has the functionality of the old Start menu and the new and fresh look of the Windows 8.

In addition to this, Microsoft has revealed that the Metro apps will run in a desktop environment inside their own Windows instead of a Start screen window. While the changes made to Windows 8.1 operating system will be slight, Microsoft is expected to deliver the full scale desktop functionality in the next Windows operating system, Windows 9 which is slated to release next year. Windows 9 operating system is expected to bring in several major changes both to the design and functionality, and to the entire marketing method of the operating system. At the last Build conference, Microsoft revealed that the next operating system would be free for computers and phones under 9 inches in size. Another rumor revealed that Windows 9 will have increased cloud computing facilities.

As can be expected, all the latest developments created quite a buzz among Windows users. To know more information about Windows 9, contact us on our Windows support number.

Outlook 2013 Deployment Methods

Microsoft Outlook 2013 is the software giant’s flagship email management software, which is bundled with Microsoft Office 2013. The latest version of the email client application, Outlook 2013, helps to organize your email messages, calendars, contacts, tasks, and to-do-lists, just as its predecessors. Outlook help and support team highlights that all such options are further advanced in the latest edition.

Compared to previous editions, Microsoft Outlook 2013 is more modern, advanced, and comes with the metro-ized interface. It offers a flattened look, which goes with the Windows 8 design language, and is easy to use on touch screen devices. Another interesting aspect you would notice is the fact that the whole application is monochromatic. Apart from the occasional colored accents, you will find more of white and gray, improving the people view.

Now, coming to Office 2013 deployment, there are two options for that. The first option might be the most familiar one, as it uses the Windows installer based deployment method. The other deployment method is named Click-to-Run. However, Outlook help and support team highlights that this method is only available to Microsoft Office 365 subscribers.

Microsoft provides Office 365 subscribers with a self-service portal in which Outlook is installed through a streaming installation across the Internet. Click-to-Run deployments do not require any administrative action. The initiation of the deployment is up to the user. The entire deployment happens automatically, but there are a few disadvantages to this type of deployment as well.

The main issue with Click-to-Run deployment is that it can prove to be quite intensive to bandwidth. The deployment process makes use of streaming to minimize the bandwidth consumption. But, when a user initiates installation, deployment files are needed to be downloaded, and every time, even if another user recently downloaded the files.

Another issue with the option is that it does not provide administrators much control over the deployment process. For instance, users with administrator rights may need to control the languages used in an Office deployment, or include Office as a standardized desktop image. But there is no provision for that here.

There is another alternative offered by Microsoft, an on-premises deployment option for Office 365 customers. Those who wish to perform a Click-to-Run deployment can download this Office Deployment tool. This tool allows administrators to download a copy of Office 2013, customize it to fit your organization’s requirements, and then deploy it from an on-premises distribution point. Another method to do that is to include Office 2013 in a deployment image. This deployment type provides much better administrative controls.

That sums up the story on Office 2013 deployment. If you need any assistance with the same, contact our tech support team right away.
