Fixing The Automatic Shutdown Issue In Windows XP

The Windows XP operating system reached markets with much delight and excitement. A slew of features and functions were on board, the users welcomed the operating system gladly, and it turned out to be an instant hit. Windows XP users do not normally nag about the OS as it is mostly trouble free and a very small percentage of users only have experienced issues with the same.

A major issue that a majority of users face is regarding the endless time the operating system takes to shut down. A large amount of hue and cry is created by users as a result of this issue. To make things worse, instead of the shutdown to occur, the system gets restarted automatically. Corruptions in the internal Windows files are the root cause for slow shutdowns.

However, by following the below provided Windows XP chat guidelines, the automatic restart issue that occurs when the system shuts down can be easily resolved.

Instructions

  • A slew of icons can be seen in the desktop and you have to search and locate the My Computer icon.
  • The My Computer icon can also be seen in the Start menu. To get access to the Start menu, click the Start button.
