Tips For Trouble Shooting Error 1058 In Windows XP

The tricky error 1058 occurs when a function in Windows system suddenly freezes up. Windows XP operating system is programmed to run certain applications like Windows updates and system utilities automatically as per schedule. However, at times the Windows XP wizard will fail to start automatically and in such situations you will be forced to run those manually. In fact when you try to run those functions manually, an error message will creep in to the interface telling you that you can’t start that particular service with a number "1058". Most users would not understand the situation when they see this message and will most probably call up the Microsoft Windows support number to resolve such a simple issue. The fact is that you can fix this up yourself by employing the "Administrative Tools" that comes inbuilt with the Microsoft operating system. Just follow these instructions and learn how it is done with the aid of the administrator tools.
Follow these leads…
Hit on the tab with the tag "Start" imposed in to it and pick out the "Programs" tab in which you will be able to access the "Administrative Tools" tab.
Inside the administrative tools window scan for a tab named like "Services" and click on it when you find it to bring on the services window.
Pick out the particular service that displayed the "Error 1058" when you attempted to run it and click it twice to open the "Properties" tab of that particular program.
Now you will have to scroll to the "Log On" section available in the "Properties" window in which you will be able to know the status of the faulty service. If its status reads disabled, just trigger the "Enable" radio tab.
This time pick out the "General" tab that is enclosed within the "Properties" window.
Monitor the tab that displays "Startup Type" and check its status. If it is disabled, change it by clicking on the "Automatic" tab to reinstate the previous working condition of that particular service.
Now exit from the "Properties" and "Services" tabs before restarting your computer to save the changes made in the Windows interface.
We hope that we were successful in helping you troubleshoot the error 1058. If however, you find that you encounter many other problems and the program is showing more such errors, it would be better to ring up customer service executives at the Windows support number.
